The “Block” Got Late Payments Deleted from all 3 Credit Reports

The “Block” Method Got Late Payments Deleted from all 3 Credit Reports

I successfully had a debt with late payments deleted from all three credit reports using the FCRA § 605(b) Block as Youarelaw.org teaches. However, I recently received a collection notice from a collection agency trying to collect on the same debt.

Before learning about the FCRA § 605(b) Block (which wasn’t covered in the course when I originally joined), I sent three letters to the original creditor requesting validation of the debt. They never provided proper validation as you predicted. I then filed a complaint with the CFPB against the credit bureaus because the creditors failed to properly verify the debt. Despite this, the credit bureaus reported to the CFPB that they had validated the debt—though they didn’t (as predicted).

After the CFPB closed that case, and using your course update, I learned about the FCRA § 605(b) Block and filed another complaint with the CFPB while using the block. This time, it worked, and the debt was successfully removed from all three credit reports.
